    The Ultimate Incubator
Hey everyone, I took a lot of input and tried to incorporate it in designing and building this incubator. Please feel free to make comments or suggestions. Thanks, Dan

Minus the thermostat, thermometers and tubs, materials cost around $250. As you know, the real cost is in the thermostat!

Very informative, and a great design. My only question is concerning the fan placement. It appears as if the fans are mounted right against the floor and ceiling. Did you space them away from the floor and ceiling to allow air to get behind the fans? If you did space them away, you may want to add a section to your tutorial about how you mounted them. Also, you may want to add to your tutorial, the mounting location of your T-stat, switches, and probe placement in the incubator that has provided you with the best temperature regulation.

Other than a few thoughts of what to add, that is a great job and will provide a wonderful tool for others.

    Thanks for the great work,

Looks very nice. I wouldn't have minded seeing a cost breakdown, and I was teensy bit concerned a little about the fan placement as well. Otherwise, very impressive. :gj:

How long did it take you to build?

    Thanks for the great work,

I actually did space the fans with nuts behind the mounting screws. You are right, I need to add this fact to the slide show. Also, the switches, thermostat etc. - good points.

    Cost of melamine - 4x8x5/8 about $25

It took about three days to build.

Thank you for the comments everyone -
