Please Put Her In Your Thoughts
As some of you know my oldest daughter, Kate, who is 20 recently moved to Texas - for the first time in our lives very far away from mom.

Kate was involved in a serious hit and run car accident yesterday. Her vehicle was totalled, the other driver fled the scene. She thought she was just shaken up (thankfully she was wearing her seatbelt) however she just didn't feel right this morning and went to see a doctor. After x-rays and a CT scan it's been determined she has a fracture in her C5 vertebrae. I know with proper care my oldest baby will be fine - it's just not much comfort when I can't be there with her as I've always done.

Please put her in your thoughts. I hope they catch the (words I can't say here) person that did this to my daughter. I'd really like a few private moments with that driver.

Jo, my thoughts and prayers are with you and Kate right now - call me any time you need someone to talk to, I'm sorry you're so far away from her right now.

If it's any condolence, I was in a car wreck in 2001 and also cracked a vertebra. I was fine with a little bedrest. Other than being sore, I couldn't tell that I'd hurt my back.

    Love you bunches!!!

Poor Kate. That's a terrible way to start off her new life in TX. I hope she heals fully and quickly. Your family will be in my prayers.

That's some bad news. But the upside is that it could have been much, much worse. I hope that your daughter recovers fully.
