    :snake: Hey Guys,

I just got a new baby ball python. It's the first I have ever owned. I was wondering if or when I should take him to the vet? I have been doing a lot of reading on the forum, but I haven't seen many people talk about vet visits yet.

A vet check-up is a great idea for a new addition. I would allow him to settle in for a week or two with no handling first, and as long as there are no visible medical reasons to take him to the vet, go ahead and bring him in for a check-up. This way you can get to know your local herp vet and be ready should there be any reason he needs a secondary visit. Welcome to the site!! :welcome:
