    Kara I have to admit the more you keep posting these pics of these hot animals the more I think bloods are my next venture.

    Great looking snakes.

    Do they always give such big clutches like Burms and Retics or is that an unusual size clutch??

    Try it!!! You'll like it!!! ;) They really are such fabulous snakes - just a lot of fun to work with!

    This is a nice clutch for a female of this size & age (6'+, 13 yrs), but not outside of the realm of normal. Borneo short-tails (Python breitensteini) & Sumatran short-tails (Python curtus) tend to lay larger clutches of smaller eggs, while blood pythons (Python brongersmai) generally lay smaller clutches of larger eggs.

    Keep in mind that Retics & Burms often lay clutches of 60+ eggs, by comparison (and huuuuge eggs, at that!).
