My Royal is 200g and is 4 months old and wanted to start her onto rats, she can manage 1 large mouse, would she be able to manage a weaner rat?

So, being that size, she would take about a 20g rat. I'd give her a little pup every 7 days and see how she does. Have you been feeding her every 5 days up til now?

No every 7 days so far and she seems content on that.

If you are in the process of switching I would recommend you to switch to something similar in size, in your case a rat pup and than move up accordingly.

I asked because a lot of people will feed every 5 days until the snake hits about 200g or so, and then go to every 7 days for the remainder of the snake's life.

Rat babies/pups vary alot in size. Just use one similar in size to what you've been feeding. Everyone has a different term for the smaller rat stages, can be confusing at times.

dont feed anything fatter than da girth of your snake.
anything slightly smaller is perfect IMO
