Humidity in incubator

So what I just found out is that with my little shoebox rubbermaid that i have my eggs in is if I don't use any press n seal, the humidity doesn't stick around.

What can I do to get the humidity back up? The eggs are starting to collapse a bit. can I spray the entire thing, including the eggs? or should I poor some water into the rubbermaid?

I put the press n seal back on, so hopefully things will improve once i get more humidity in...

What day are they at?

Start back over from scratch and mix up a new batch of whatever you are using to incubate....

What kind of incubator do you have Nate?

Why can't you put press n seal or saran wrap over the box?

Have you added a container of water to the bottom of the 'bator for ambient humidity?

I have press n seal and the lid..i could probably do without the lid tho.

I had a container of water initially, but my accurite was showing like 60% humidity...i didn't see that it made any difference. I could possibly try again.

The eggs appear to be doing just fine :gj: thanks everyone

If you are gonna mist or add moisture do it to the substrate and not the eggs. Better to start a little at a time because you can always add more but getting it out aint as easy.
