    Radiant Heat Panels?
So, I'm thinking about changing out the basking bulb that I have in my BPs tank right now for a Radiant Heat Panel from Reptile Basics. The lamp is just killing the humidity levels in the tank (I have her in a 20g tall tank right now). Does anyone know if using an on/off thermostat with an RHP will work ok:confused:? I'd like to get a progressive thermostat but I just don't have the money for that and and RHP right now. I currently have a UTH and the basking bulb for heat on the warm side which keeps the temp between 85 and 90 degrees and on the cool side it usually stays between 75 and 80 degrees but it seems like no matter how much I mist the humidity never gets above 40% and I think that she's getting ready to shed in the next week or two (she's starting to go pink underneath) so I'd like to get the humidity regulated .
    Thanks!
    Adam.

    Hello!
I second what Starmom has said. I use Rich's panels, and they are fantastic. Humidity is easily adjusted by moving the position of the water bowl, and the heat is even and safe. And of course, Rich is a real pleasure to talk with and knows a great deal.

I use a RHP with an "on/off" type thermostat and it works great.

Excellent! Thanks guys, I just talked to Rich and he says that the RHPs will work fine with an on/off type thermostat so I'll definately be getting one soon. I appreciate the help!
