    BP finally ate
The ball python I rescued from a local person finally ate. I tried every week for the passed month and he never ate. Today however, he finally ate a large rat. I didn't see him get it, but I went back in the room and saw him starting to eat it. Next week I am going to put up my web cam so I can see it.

It didn't even make a lump in him. Next time I'll feed a bigger one.

Thats great that it ate, but I wouldn't fed a snake that size a large rat, and I bet you would be hard pressed to find anyone who would.
The last BP I picked up was feed something WAY to big by its previous owner, and it regurgitated two days later. A cut opened up, and a whole mess of problems and headaches ensued.
The most important thing for your BP is to get into a routine of eating again. If it had been a month since it's last meal I would start with something moderately sixed, then work it's way back up to a normal sized meal.
