Night Mother, a boa poem

As I was denied (rightfully I guess, but *pppttthhh*! :rolleyes:) entry into the special boa POTM contest, I thought I'd post this here.

I tried to take cool pictures of my boa this month, but I'm just a sucky snake photographer...but I got inspired by my big slithery girl and wrote this instead:

Crazy amazing work, that. As I was reading it, this voice popped into my head - a female with an african-ish accent. I heard raindrops and jungle noises and drums and all. It was crazy. Like something off a children's program. -lol-

I don't think I've ever read a poem that inspired all that nonsense into my head, and I've entered a lot of poetry contests and read a lot of poems. Amazing work. You should consider entering it into a contest. :gj: X 1000
