A weird question...

I hope this is not inappropriate but I have something that I've been wanting to ask for a while now, so please bear with me. This one is more for the lady's here :P During every girls favorite time of month I can´t get too close to my girl BP. She gets a little too interested in me, and she has even taken a strike at me if I go too close to her cage. Needless to say I keep a safe distant from her during that time and my husband takes care of her:D Just wondering if this was normal or what???

I've never had that problem with mine. I was nervous about it when I got my first one, but nothing ever happened. They've always acted perfectly normal.

I have over 100 and it has NEVER seemed to be any different at any time of any month other than feeding time.

Could it be that you are more tense and nervous during that time, which your snake could sense?

Hmmm. Never had a problem here. I've heard male iguanas will go a bit wonky on you, but never heard of snakes doing it.

You mean you haven't heard the urban legand about the guys girlfriend sleeping in his bed during that time of the month and the snake escaped and she woke up being strangled to death? :O I thought everyone's heard that one! It happened to a friend of a friend of a friend! :rolleyes:

Interesting question....

I haven't noticed anything with my snakes.

However, thinking back to the last reptile show I went to, where I got tagged an unusually large number of times (I'm pretty sure I more than doubled the number I've gotten in my entire life), it was that time of the month for me. I had assumed it had more to do with the snakes I asked to hold, as I'm getting more adventuresome with the species of snake that interests me. Hmmmm.

To make it even more interesting... the carpet python decided that my breast was the most likely target! My boyfriend is still highly amused at that.
