    +1 Species In Rack
Does anyone house more than one species of snake in the same rack, controlled with the same heat tape and thermostat?

I have my balls and corns in the same rack, but have to pull the corns tubs out just alittle to get them off the heat.

Yup, balls and short tails. Short tails just get no hot spot, and are near the floor where its cooler.

Depending on who you talk to, this is either a fine idea or a horrible idea... theoretically animals from different continents especially could pass disease onto each other, if one animal is immune to a certain disease that is local to one area, that another animal is not immune to... being in such close contact with each other would not be a good idea. I know this does happen in birds specifically, and I'm sure it happens with other animals. My vet recommended that I keep animals indigenous to separate continents in separate rooms. Not real sure if anything has been proven to do this in snakes, besides IBD, but the possibility is there.

I use shelves instead of a rack for now, but I mix em up. I use the same size UTH and a single thermostat to control my corn and hognose. I also use a similar setup for my boa and one of my bp's. The way it's setup, the bp's warm spot is about 3 degrees higher than the boa's. It seems to work pretty well, and I use a temp gun to double check everything. When I get actual racks, I will do the same thing if I need to.
