    ASF hybrids?
can the ASF rats breed with mice? I just fed off a trio of very tiny mice that in hindsight (and seeing pics here) looked a lot like ASF rats. They were also kind of spazzy and quick.
I got them from a pet store and wonder if someone confused them/ made some hybrids? The store buys from local breeders. I am hoping I don't have to wean my snake off the freaking things and I'm going to request large domesticated mice next time i go in... blegh. Not too pleased about this... Montreal is fussy enough without me blowing a lot of money on a hard to find species!
    thanks!

I don't think they would breed. I have a female adult foster mouse in with my ASF rats....she was added as a pinky...the rats cared for her, but they have not bred.

I think if a male mouse tried to chase down a female ASF, he'd be looking to get his furry little fanny beat up! :D

No, rats and mice cannot interbreed.
