    Crawling to the UTH
I have a snake that found out how to crawl under the mat under the substrate to reach the bottom level of the tank, between the mat and the glass.

I have a glass 10 G tank and the snake is able to crawl under the mat where the wire for the thermostat probe goes below the mat. I believe I saw a diagram somewhere on this site, though i couldn't find it again, and used that to set up my thermostat and temperature probes...

Any suggestions to keep my snake crawling under the mat? it seems like the wires from the probes pull the mat up enough for her to crawl under... I don't want to her to crawl under the mat and hide, because she is about to enter a shed cycle and she won't leave once she's under, and I don't to keep changing her environment... any suggestions?

    Thanks for the help..

am i reading this right? you have the heat mat in the tank? if thats right take the heat mat out and tape it to the bottom of your tank.

The uth is taped to the glass on the outside of the cage, but theres a mat to prevent the snake from crawling directly to the glass, but she just crawls under the glass anyways
