I got baby rats! Pix!

As promised, some pix! Came home to one litter of rat pinks (from the momma I wasn't sure was preggers) and a litter of mouse pinks (no pix included...they don't excite as much anymore, hehe).

The blond one is the momma...the black one is surely gonna drop any second:

Ooo, yea that black girl should pop any minute! Congrats, now good luck feeding them off. (you can't just keep one :P)

Hehe, shouldn't be a problem. I love my snakes a heckuva lot more than I love my rodents...

Congrats! Once they start poping it doesn't seem to take long before you have to start expanding the operation! I get to go home and build and plumb 2 more racks after the first as our colony is growing fast. 3 mothers with pups and one that should have all her girls weaned this weekend. We are over 50 rats now between breeders and pups and have two more expecting mothers plus another 2 tubs of 3 females in with males. Our overall goal is to get to 12 full colonies of 18 females each by the end of the year!
