    Beware of Scammers
I just wanted to put this out there so that people knew about a scam that was recently tried on me. I received a blank envelope yesterday with no return address from Canada.

Inside was a single yellow piece of paper and a real check for $2,950 from a company called Tech USA, Inc. On the paper was information about how I won the 3rd Category in the American Shoppers Draw.

    I won $42,000!

Anyways the paper said the check was to be used for clearing costs and that I should send $2,350 to a particular agency which would handle getting me my prize money. I took the check to the bank and they told me it was fraudulent, which was what I suspected.

If its too good to be true it is!

There would be no logic at all for them to send you a check to use to pay a 3rd party and allow you to put the excess in your pocket instead of them paying the other party directly. I can't believe that people continue to bite at these scams that don't make any sense at all.
