    Ball python growth rate?
What is the normal growth rate for a ball python? I know that is a hard question to answer, but I ask because Lesser seems to being growing a bit slower then I think he should. Currently he in the high 200s gaining 10-20 grams per each adult mouse( once every five days he eats) that I feed him. Is that about right? He didnt eat for about two weeks when I first got him because I was trying f/t and not his prefered live, and that took a small toll on him and he got pretty skinny. Now that hes been nice and plump he was been growing nicely, but is it normal for him to be 280ish grams when he was born in late december? should I start offering more food? Sorry for all these questions, I get a little paranoid when it comes to my animals:)

Sounds about like the growth rate we see on our smaller guys. One thing to note is when they skip a feeding we like to get a weight just prior to the next feeding. These weights seem to be the most accurate. As he gets bigger and the prey gets bigger you will see more gains. Don't worry too much about it. If he eats regularly he will grow properly! :)

Most of my younger ones, Under a year old. If they are eating good and on rats. Feeding every 5 days I see about 100g a month growth. It does slow down when as they get older. But most if not all of my 07's gain about that each month. It also depends on when I weigh them and when the poop. IF they are empty or not.

Yeah I also see between 75-125 grams a month on my smaller guys, and occasionally on my adults (but that's rare).

I feed my 226 grams spider ball weaned rats, which are about or close to double the size of an adult mouse. He eats every five days and defecates like clockwork every 4.

Maybe you should increase the size he's eating and see if that helps him gain more weight each month.

Once they get on weaned and small rats they start growing a lot faster

that chart seems extremely slow to me. I'm curious what percentage of those are males/females. According to their chart, their females are 200-300 grams shy of being able to breed at their 30th month.

Im going to start him on two adult mice every five days. Id love to try rats but seeing that I have 0 access to them feeding them is impossible. I have some 50 weanling mice growing up( and so many more to come) so It does not matter, I can just feed a few more off and I know that wouild make him happy :p

Your growth might be a little slow feeding mice only, but they'll grow, and be healthy.
