Snake hates new cage?

Hey, i got my 7 foot JCP a 70 gal tall tank (used to have a 50 gallon) and since we got it for him, on friday, he has yet to come out of his hide. should i have reason to worry? or does he just need a week to get acclimated?

are his temps good?

i wouldn't worry about it... could be anything. either he'll come out soon or he's going into a shed cycle - mine always hide extensively before going opaque.

temps are really nice, ambient about 82, basking spot at 94 (at the top of his tank, where he never goes). but the uth is under his hide, so my guess is that he is really enjoying being warm.

What is the temperature of the UTH, how are your measuring it and controlling the UTH?
