    Second Shed - Perfect?
Ok, I have not been active in a while. But I'm back. Anyway, my BP's first shed was bad, It was all stuck and everything.

I don't think I changed anything in his tank since then but his second shed was perfect. Maybe it was the light placement? I'm not sure.

Also, my UTH started to peel off from the tank on the bottom, so now only half of it is on the tank. How can I fix this? Can I tape it?

I have mine taped, but it might be ill advised, I didn't ask about it.

So... is that a bad idea, anyone?

I taped mine a couple mins ago.

I have a new question. I went to go to pick up my snake just now (i havent handled in a while) and when i put my hand in he kind of like jumped (no he didnt try to bite me) and he kept following my hand with my head whenever i tried picking him up, so i just left in alone for now.

    Hi,

Taping it on sounds fine - do you have a little air gap underneath?

It just sounds like you caught him a little unawares and startled him - maybe he was asleep and just got a little freaked. :)

Mine is grumpy in the "morning" too, without fail. If it's the middle of the afternoon/early evening he is a little jumpy for a few minutes.

Also, I have a UTH under my rescue's tub, and I covered the adhesive side of it with aluminum foil and then duct taped it to the bottem. The middle of the UTH sags a little, but it still keeps my temps up and I haven't noticed the tape melting or losing adhesion so I'd say it's safe to tape it.
