    i tried to feed my bp for the first time today and it was a f/t hopper i did the presenteing the heating the head my bp "Lucky" seemed very intreded he poked his head out and stared down the mice but never came fully out i was shaking the mice for like 20 min.

    How long do you have the snake. if hes new i would wait a week before trying to feed him. Sometimes they just need to get comfortable. You can always try a live hopper to get him started.:taz:

    ive had him for a week. and i realy badly want to feed live i just cant find anywhere to buy live mice. thye have some at the pet store but nonly small ones. i was going to feed that but then i woulnt kno what to do when he gets bigger. the only reptile store near my area closed down.

    Ball pythons can live on mice, just as they grow you can feed them 2 or 3 the same day just give them a chance to get it down. Most pet stores should have live mice. As long as the mouse is not wider than your snake you can feed him that mouse. :taz:
