Spider ball python is 284 grams and already has sperm pugs?
I was just popping sniper and I saw these two white things on top of his hemipenes. They both connected like a V. could he be mature enough to breed already? Could they be plugs? I thought they has to be at least 500 grams to be mature enough.
UPDATE:
He is doing great the wobble isn't so noticeable any more, he rarly does it, he is eating great and hasn't tried to bite in at least two weeks. I'm really excited to lock this guy up with the albino.
Females have to be 1500 grams to breed right?

He may have plugs but they may not be viable...

The sperm may be... dead.
You have plugs, but they may not be fertile.
Re: Spider ball python is 284 grams and already has sperm pugs?
Would they be dead, Heather, or just not filled with any sperm; like just ejaculate because of his weight?
Re: Spider ball python is 284 grams and already has sperm pugs?
i thought the plug was the actuall sperm, whether it is dead or not.
Re: Spider ball python is 284 grams and already has sperm pugs?
yea i have one that is a little heavier than your at like 312 that is like that too. hes a little horn dog.

I'm pretty sure Dave Barker said no pythons have sperm plugs, and it's actually the old skin of the hemi penes that people are seeing.

it couldn't be old skin because this guy hasn't even shed yet while I have had him and he has new plugs every week. I think Ralph's got a vid about sperm plugs.

I remember reading that part in the book. I thought what he was saying is that a lot of people mistake shed hemipene cases as sperm plugs, but not that sperm plugs didn't exist. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
