A general rule of thumb is to feed rodents that are as big around as the width of the snake or just a little smaller.

How old is your snake and do you know how much it weighs? I have some 400-500g balls eating 55g rats every 7 days. It's really good to go by the weight of your snake rather than length. Some people also use the 10% rule: feed a prey size that is 10% the weight of your snake. :)
