Temp/Humidity problems with a cage?

I would like to get a nice cage, like Animal Plastics, Herp Enclosures, Reptile Basics, etc... but have a question for those of you with one of these types of cages.

Given a pretty constant room temp: Is there an issue with keeping the humidity/temp regulated. I want to get one with the built in UTC heating.

Is there an issue with the separation of warmer/cooler sides?

What type of lighting, heating, temp controls, did you use and what kind was it?
