Kenyan Sand Boa Converted to F/T!
Our picky little KSB finally took a f/t meal! He was eating live pinkie mice (usually two per meal). Every time we tried a f/t pinkie mouse, he refused. Yesterday, I offered a f/t fuzzie mouse and did the "I'm really alive and kicking" dance, and Morty fell for it!

Here is a hilarious picture of him after the first meal of this size for him. Blimpy boy! My fingers are in it for reference.

He looked even funnier in person. The photo doesn't quite capture the comedy.

Great job! After I got mine I went right to work on switching to f/t, I got lucky though and they took for me the 2nd (for the larger KSB) and 3rd (for the smaller one) week after I got them :)

I had to do that little dance too! Its so funny, they went right for it and then kind of figured out that I was just trying to trick them so they would pretend like they were not interested, but then actually eat the mice the second time I did the dance.

After the males get to be adults I have found them to be very sporadic eaters. Saves a lot on feeding expenses. Very bright orange on the little guy.

Thanks, y'all! I had hoped to switch him to f/t once he moved up to fuzzies. Doing the "I'm alive" dance with a f/t pinkie is so gross! They seem to be made of silly putty. I'm just glad he took it. Finding live pinkie mice was getting to be a pain. Maybe not having eaten for 3 weeks or so helped! :D
