Loco is loco!

I thought I had pretty good luck with my snakes since acquiring my first one this past December. No escapes, nearly 100% feeding each week, sheds are good....until last night. After working 3rd shift, I was ready to just fall into bed and pass out but en route, I kicked something right in front of my door. It was LOCO!! Just hangin out in front of my door outside his tub! I was super surprised he didn't try finding a warmer place but that's where he was. Turns out, last night, my girlfriend was checking on the snakes because the humidity jumped up in his tub - He left a nice stinker in there so she went ahead and cleaned it up. :D. Unfortunately, she may have accidentally not pushed the tub in to the rack all the way and left some room for him to get out.

Anyways, I guess I should get some latches or something to make sure the tubs stay in place to avoid future incidences :gj: I'm part of the escaped ball club, whoo!

Once I forgot to latch the door to my sugar gliders cage after I fed them one night and didn't notice it until the next morning, I got lucky though and none of them left the cage (unless they got sneaky and left then came back in to sleep!)

Bobo got out the other week, i don't know how, everything was latched secure. I was frantic looking for him for 5 minutes to find him under his tank in the dark box that holds all the aspen bedding and such.

the racks from reptilebasics.com come with a "food in tub" indicator peg which can easily ensure the racks are closed all the way. most brands just require you to make sure you've pushed in the tub all the way. the peg is an easy, visual confirmation that your snakes are secure, i highly recommend it.

LOL that happened to me about 3 months ago with one of my males. I came home and was gonna feed him and I couldn't find him in his tank. Then I happened to look over and he was on top of my tv lol. knocked all my stuff behind the tv though little bastard hehe I guess im part of the club too. cool I feel like i belong
