    Hypo gene?
OK so is the Hypo and the OG gene the same?

Say I had a Hypo Mojo, and breed it to a Het OG - what would I get?

Het Hypo breed to a Het OG?

Hypo spider X hypo spider = honeybee??

OG spider X OG spider = Honeybee???

    Hypo Gene = OG gene???

    Am I missing something here?

    Re: Hypo gene?
Hypomelanism is the same thing as OG (orange ghost). The Ball Python community aquired a bad habit long ago of referring to Hypos as Ghosts. I only say it is a bad habit, because what will happen if and when a Ghost (Hypo x Axanthic) Ball Python is actually created. Then there might be some confusion when talking a bout a Spider Het Ghost. Is it really Het Ghost, or is it Het for just Hypomelanism.

    OK so in summary,

Ghost (any color) = Hypo - meaning they are the same gene and are compatible. That was more or less what I was asking.

I remember reading somewhere that some lines are not compatible... It might have been Green with yellow? Or a certain line of one? I'm not even sure if that is correct at all, hopefully someone with better hypo knowledge will chime in???

    Re: Hypo gene?
Laura said it right. Ghost does = Hypo, however, not all lines are compatible. There are so many lines out there now, that it is best to ask the person you are buying from if their line is compatible with what you are working with.
