    Stewie the rescue
Here is my beardie that a women just showed up at my house and basically said, take it or Im turning it loose....He has gained a good amount of weight and is so much more active and social...He/she is as tame as can be. Is there a way to tell the sex on this guy?

Introducing "Stewie Nibbles" (named by granddaughter) He is hanging out while I clean his cage.

Great job! Breadies are great pets and probably the best reptiles for handling. Here is a website that has lots of info on beardies and how to sex them. Once you see the one bump or two bumps under the tail it's easy(except for babies). Sometimes I put a light sideways from the lizard to increase shadowing and signs of bumps, mostly I do this for small dragons cuz their buldges are still real small. Hope this helps.

He should be easy to sex at that point, The kingsnake link is great, heres another that shows also, http://www.beardeddragon.org/articles/sexing/

They are great pets, the way i take care of them is really much different then the kingsnake caresheet, obvoisly care is not black and white, Interesting reading that, many things i dont agree with, Raul, Just currious, have you had success with that type of care?

Anyway, back on topic. Just to give some more info, Heres three of what are in my opinion the best caresheets out there. Different aproach to Rauls, but great results.

This one covers everything, minus breeding, Very thoroughly,

And another, similar aproach to the rest, a few different ideas:

Awww he/she is such a cutie! How could some rotten person want to turn that lovely animal loose....some folks are just pure rotten. Glad you've given this lovely beardie another chance. Are you keeping it permanently or going to rehome at some point?

Well congrats then on the new member of the family. I'm sure everyone will love it, a little more work time and $ than your average snake, but worth every bit. S/He looks great though, keep working on the muscle and weight, but he does look very healthy. Great job.

Good luck, and S/he is beautiful. If your not totally sure on the sex, You can take a picture with the flash with his tail lifted up a tad, just don't pull to hard though cause you dont want any tail trouble (though i doubt any problems with that big dragon), don't grow back. May be hard over the net, but sometimes its pretty obvious. There's another thing with sexing, Males will have big femoral Pores on the underside of the back legs, Like little, egg, dots, kinda yellow, If they are huge, or waxy or anything like that, more leaning towards male.

Also, is his mouth always open like that, Or just for that pic? If its constantly the temps may be a tad high. Thought id throw it out there, but it looks like it may just be a one time deal.

Again, any concerns or questions, shoot em out.
