    Yellow Belly?
Ok so I've been doing a lot of reading about yellow bellies (het ivory). And everywhere that i've read about them basically the jist is that they have no black on their belly and the black from their sides stops before the belly, and they have yellow blushing from the stomach up the side.

Well here is a question. Do all hets display similar characteristics of this animal (yellow belly)?

I have a female 100% het albino that has TONS of blushing up her sides (but it's semi-white with yellow undertones), and no black on the bottom of her belly. And she has some pretty crazy yellow undertones in her regular color as well. Does this mean that she is also a yellow belly and the person I got her from just didn't realize it? Or does this just mean that it's just another characteristic of being a het?

Any info on this is much appreciated. :D

I appologize for not posting pic's, but she is in shed bad right now so you wouldn't be able to tell anyway.

I'll post pics as soon as she sheds.

no probably not a yellowbelly. if you look at the sticky titles hunters guide at the top of the page its a great resource. YB's have a light spot on the head, lots of flames that start on the belly. and a speckled pattern on the sides of the belly(not the side of the snake but its belly)

Just to add to what John said, recessive traits don't generally show any visual cues. Sounds like you have a beautiful animal. Its POSSIBLE that she's a yellowbelly, but thats generally not overlooked when selling a morph. Pics would certainly help. Many codom morphs do include a "clear" belly (pure white with no black speckling). Thats why you'll hear (see) people asking for belly shots. When you post pics of your girl, be sure to post good belly shots.

Oh, by the way, you did a pretty good job of describing one of my het pied girls! ;)

    haha..

Yeah so far the only difference I can find between her and a yellow belly is the spot on the head. Other than that she has all the traits... but who knows.. she's prolly just a really pretty snake and that's it.
