need help picking snake for child
My three year old son loves watching the snakes at petco and I am wondering if there is an active snake that he can watch?our ball doesn't move much.I was thinking a corn snake maybe? Thanks
Re: need help picking snake for child
Corns are wiggly worms..
Either those or Garters/Kings/Milks.
ALL wiggly worms.
Re: need help picking snake for child
i cant remember the name but there was a snake that ate live small fish and those suckers were always on the move....
i have a corn...if you go over to the tank she comes out but other than that shes in her hide... she will follow you around the tank if you move around which is kinda cool
Re: need help picking snake for child
garters eat fish, they are pretty cool! and cheap at petco, but I wouldnt recommend getting a snake there, bad experiences...
Re: need help picking snake for child
I suggest a Cal king! Their cool stay small and are nice! I have one myself and hes awsome!
Re: need help picking snake for child
Kings are wild!
They're fun to watch!
Re: need help picking snake for child
if you don't irian jaya carpet pythons stay fairly small if you dont over feed them and they are very active as well as semi-arboreal. they are very hardy as well...
Re: need help picking snake for child
It is great that your son like snakes and that you are a great parent who want to motivate your son fascination for snakes.
Always keep in mind that you are going to be the one feeding and cleaning the snake, so make sure you have the time and also that you cant be picky or sorry for what the snake eats.
