    My new babies...
    Hey everyone,

    I just wanted to post about my new babies I just got yesterday. GILAS! Yaaahhhh! Been wanting these for like 15 years! I got 6 babies from a friend that breeds them yesterday. They are like 7-8 inches long and hatched in November. They are SOOOOOOO MEAN! HAHA

    Ashley, they're Gila Monsters from the SouthWestern USA. Rear-fanged, they're one of only two species of vemomous lizards - the other is the Mexican Beaded Lizard.

    Gila Monsters dont have fangs, they have grooves in their teeth on the lower jaw that allows the venom to flow into the wound.

    Congrats Sean. Those are awesome animals, but holy cow look at those claws! Who gets the lucky assignment of trimming those bad boys? :O
