How long do I leave my snake out of its enclosure after PAM?
I recently found out that my snake had mites. I noticed one of the members was also dealing with the same problem. I just got my PAM today in the mail. I followed the directions and it says that I should wait till the substrate is dry and theres no fumes. First off, it doesn't really have a smell (at least not that I noticed). Second, the spray is light and misty it could be "dry" in a matter of an hour. SO I'm wondering when I should put my snake back in his tank? He ate today and I'm sure he would love to be back in his enclosure. Its been about 3 hrs. (8:30-11:30pm) and I would like to put him back tonight. Thanks for the help.

When I treat with Provent-a-Mite, I've found that if applied correctly in a thin layer, it's dry in less than 30 minutes. I'll usually hold the tub up to the light to make sure it's dry (you can see a difference in the "wet" spray vs the "dry".

If it's been 3hrs and the tub/tank is in a warm area, you should be fine to put the snake back in.

I waited one hour both times I sprayed.

While I have been lucky and not had to deal with mites and I hope my luck holds out! (Knock on wood) I do really need to get some of that stuff and put it up with the rest of the snake cleaning supplies so I am ready at the first sign.

Does anyone have a list of all the cleaning supplies ball python owners should have on hand ready to go? A list would be a great addition to one of the husbandry stickies.:)
