    IBD - More Questions
I know there are still so many questions out there about this horrible disease. Here are a few of mine if anyone has an answer - either based on scientific knowledge or theory - please let me know which it is and any sources. (I have read the IBD article by LadyWhipple.)

    Can colubrids get IBD?
What level of hygiene is needed after handling a quarantined snake (vs between snakes in general)? Hand santizer, washing hands, changing clothes, showering, washing hair?
Is there any more information on whether IBD is an airborne virus or not?
How long can the virus live on hard, smooth surfaces?
How long do you need to quarantine additions to the snake collection (pythons 3 months?, boids 6 months?, colubrids?)?
How far away from the "general population" does a quarantine snake need to be? Can they be in a separate room in the same house? Do you need to Lysol the doorway every time you come out?

In general, I am trying to determine how careful I need to be and what is not necessary.

    Thank you all.

Another question I have is, can someone please write a thread on best quarantine practices and make it a sticky?

Just to clarify on some of your questions. That's a good idea about a "quarantine" post/thread, I think that would be useful.
