Help me with this...

Alright folks I got an issue. Like many, Im having trouble keeping my humidity up in this glass tank. I know tubs are better but Kingsley is too cool to for any tub. Im currently using a Ceramic Heat Emitter to keep my ambient temps up but it just sucks the humidity right up, so Im wondering if I could switch to an Exo Terra Night GLO Moonlight Lamp. They have a 75w bulb which i think will produce enough heat, but again Im not sure. Some would suggest the Red bulb but seeing how this guy is in my room, its just too bright for me at night...sorry?

Try a damp towel over the cage.

It will suck the humidity up just as quick. and will cost you a pretty penny too. Please post a pic of your setup. tell us exactly how it is setup now.

I used to have some pictures but I cant find them.
Heres the list:

10 gal glass tank
screen top covered w/ foil tape circular hole in middle for CHE
2 identical hides
1 Ceramic water bowl
UTH (for warm side) plugged into a thermostat set at 92
Humidity, warm, and ambient temp, all monitored by an Acu-Rite thermometer w/probe.
Current stats: 90 warm, 85 cool, 45% humidity

That doesn't sound too bad. I would recommend spraying the tank with water when you need that boost in humidity.

You shouldn't have to spray. what substrate are you using?

Ohh forgot ha. Im currently using Viva paper towels. I was using coconut husk but it was too damp from both spilled water(snakes fault) and possibly my over zealous use of a spray bottle. But it led to a little bit of belly rot, which cleared up after a shed. But to be safe Im sticking with them till his next shed. And also they are soo much easier to clean!

Really? Back when I used tanks there was no way I could keep the humidity up without misting every couple of days - I tried pretty much every substrate out there to no avail.

so your saying keep the CHE, the blue bulb wont help with humidity?

What about some sphagnum moss? That stuff is supposed to be pretty good for raising humidity.
