    Shipping disputes.
    Okay,
I have a pair of snakes that were paid for on the 29th of Feb. The seller has decent rep on the BOI and has maintained contact. However the past three weeks they were suppose to have been shipped and various reasons came up as to why not.

The first week was missed do to him (and I quote)"spaced that I was suppose to ship this week", though I can't place 100% of the blame on him since I didn't email to check up as I was preoccupied with Ryan and the pre deployment crap. I said not a problem, we'll ship next week. And thus it was planned.

Tuesday we talked about shipping on Wednesday and it was all good. I was suppose to have a tracking number Wed night. Well, instead of a tracking number I got an email stating "hey I just checked and they ate two days ago, probably not fully digested yet, do you still want me to ship?". This kinda miffed me. We'd JUST talked about shipping them that week so why the heck would you feed them on Monday? I emailed as much and also made it clear I really wanted them the following week. I was told that yes, I would get my animals.

I contacted him Saturday with my schedule for the week and was informed he couldn't ship Monday or Tuesday since his son was in town. I REALLY prefer to get my animals early in the week but I figured I was going to be thrilled just to get them. So I said fine. I open at work Wednesday and Thursday and could recieve them there or I had Friday off and could get them then. So, Monday and Tuesday nothing. Nothing yesterday and then today I get an email saying "It's getting down to barely 40 tonight so I'm holding off all shipments til next week. Just wanted to let you know."
Now maybe I'm being paranoid but it so seems like he's stalling. And I'm not liking it at all. I'm relatively patient. I am. But this person has been paid in full for nearly a month and I've just got excuses. Not even good excuses IMO. Am I being unreasonable?

Not at all! I would have been ticked off after week 2. I'd just tell him that if you don't receive the snakes next week then you want a full refund.

I don't blame you at all. While I do know things happen, I would ask for a refund if it isn't shipped within the next week.

That's ridiculous. I'd be really annoyed...

Like the two people above said, he needs to ship them next Monday or give you a full refund.

I would say three strikes and your out i want my money back ;).In my opinion its very rude to promise 3 times and never follow thru with it.What is it you are buying if i may ask?

I would tell him that you understand delays but if your purchase is not shipped out with a tracking number by Monday, you would like a refund. Even if you don't want a refund for sure yet and are prepared to wait a little longer, this does show you mean business and enough is enough with the excuses.

I can see by your thread that you speak in a very reasonable and polite tone so unless he is truly up to something fishy, that should end his excuses. Best of luck and hopefully you will have your new additions safe and sound shortly.

I agree with everyone else...I would have been irate to say the least after the second batch of excuses, shipped by monday or refund is what I would do.

This is breeding season and a lot of breeders are really busy. I know not really a good excuse.

Is this snake a male of perhaps breeding size and a morph that would be good to get a lock from with a female or two before shipping?

If you don't get it by the end of 4 weeks I would ask for a refund, give him a neg on the site you bought from, and if he actually has a business name I believe a review section exists on this web site. If not I believe you can still review him in that section!
