    Reptile sprays anyone
Hey all. I am curious on your take on reptile sprays? I have two diffrent ones and last night I had tried only one so far. the two I have are.... A shead one that helps in shedding and it says once a month is good for preventitive and the second spray is a vitamin spray that says to spray every day ..

So dou you use spray? If so when and how often and what types.

I used the shed one just because it was safe for Orion's eyes. He didnt seem to mind it and it made his scales just "pop" so to speak.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I use a spray bottle with plain ole water and spray the snake down when they are in blue.

Nope, don't use any (but water occasionally)...with proper care and feeding your snakes don't need any of that stuff...all marketing to get your money.:)

I don’t use any spray, never have, never will.

It is a waste of money in my opinion, all you have to do is to provide proper humidity at all time!

And as far as vitamin spray, BP get everything they need from their prey.

I don't use anything but moss to bump up the humidity in their tubs (moss in the hides for my girls in cages) and some tepid soaking water if they don't shed well (had this happen once with a guy who likes to go under the paper all the time!)

Sweet I kinda figured this but wanted to be sure. I bought both just because I am a newbie and wanted what was best. I thought it was strange that all the books I have read never mentioned any spray. So I figured I would ask. I have had Orion for 1 month now and he is eating great and seems to realy be "ok" with me picking him up and such. I had thought he was going into "shed" because I had seen some pink on his underside. But now it is gone.. I am a little conserned about this but I think this can be normal??

My snake always has a little hint of pink in certain areas. It's nothing major, I think I'm just seeing skin under his white scales.

I use a 1/2 gallon or something pump pressure sprayer if I need to add some humidity.

Your temps are too low and too widely varying. They need to be stable and not fluctuate. 92-94 warm side, 82-84 cool side, 50-60% humidity. If you don't have a digital thermometer/hygrometer and aren't measuring at the floor level(where your snake lives!) then you NEED to get one.
