Look What I Did Over The Weekend!

Well I got the ok from the wife to turn a former storage room which was in the garage into my snake room. It is 14' deep and 5' wide.

Heres what I started with (NASTY)

Nothing a coat of KILZ can't fix

Next came the "tile", stick on 12x12s that looks like real tile

A couple coats of Gliden paint (wall on right is plaster/stucco thats why it looks blotchy)

I also added a new florescent light strip (not pictured)

I will be adding an AC/Heat vent this week and maybe some white baseboard.

When you walk in, the back wall will fit the ARS-7030 nicely and the wall on the left will be able to hold the ARS hatchling rack. No room for a sink but Ill take what I can get for now.

Looks like a great transformation! Can't wait until I get my own herp room!

Looks great! Wish I had a little space in my house to do something like this!

I thought about picking up an 8'x10' storage shed and converting it to a small "snake house" for a starter, but not sure if that would work well or not...

looks like it will be a great little snake room. I've already been informed that my snakes are going into the basement :( So now the "they will go down when you fix it up" debate is on! keep us posted on the progress.

Lookin good! Why not instead of installing a vent, try an oil filled heater on a ranco?...it would be easier to control the heat that way.
