Re: Taking a loooong trip.
First off, thank you for your service to this country. :salute:
Make sure your wife sets up an account here (if she doesn't already have one) and encourage her to post a few times before you leave. That way she'll be more comfortable coming here if she needs any help or advice. Also if there are any BPNet members close to you or even a good herp club, you might want to hook her up with someone just in case she needs hands on help or has an emergency with the snakes while you're overseas. I'd also leave list of experienced herps you know that will talk you through stuff over the phone (can you tell yet I believe in planning for any eventuality :D).

My wife is a little bit worried that she won't be able to take care of all the snakes while I'm gone for a year and a half. But, I do have until Sept to get her all trained up.
I'm gonna include a good overview of this site to help her along. Told her she should be able to get any questions she may have answered pretty quickly and accurately here.
I don't foresee any problems. except maybe with the extra bite crazy het male.
It does look like I'm gonna miss the first breeding season with them though =/
Thank you for making your sacrifice. As for your wife, I agree totally with what Jo said- encourage her to start posting now so she can get familiar with this format and the layout of it and the different personalities. I am so sure that she'll do fine, and with months of training she'll have it down cold!!
I just noticed your snake names~ we have a Link and Zelda also, but they are boas. I love System of a Down's Link and Zelda song!!!! Anyway, can't wait to welcome your wife!!!
