Baby Boom!

Well there has been a baby boom in my rat colony. I had one rat give birth Sunday to 12 pups. My big female had 16 on Wednesday and another female that I wasn't expecting for at least another week or two had a litter of 11, but they all looked a bit premature. One was born with a deformed face and two others have died.

There are around 30 babies in there and the three moms seem to be sharing the load alright.

You are so lucky! Once I get another rat colony going hopefully it will be a success for once.

Isn't it great? :D I am having a rattie boom also and ending a pretty long dry spell. One mom on 16 babies.. another on 6 (a few were fed off.) And three preggers that are money in the bank! Congrats.

Must be spring eh Jen! LOL
