    Hey everyone ok so i will be getting my new rack on monday from

    I was just wondering i have a tstat but i want a better one im lookin at this one i know many breeders use this one but i was wondering if it comes with serge protector and everythign anyone have one that can tell me what it comes with?

    Helix makes a great t-stat and is my first choice when purchasing a t-stat. It does not come with a surge protector like some of the prewired on/offs have.

    As much as I like the Helix t-stat, I also use Johnson and Ranco on/offs for a lot of my racks. The cost is considerably less than the Helix and although the temps are not as consistent as with a proportional t-stat, on/offs keep the temps in an acceptable range for caging heat control.

    I know you're not breeding at this time, but when you get to that point, I recommend that you use only proportional t-stats for incubation temp control.
