    reflectix
So I have my plans drawn out for my racks but I'd like to add some reflectix. Some of the posts i've read say put it under the flex, some say put it on top of the flex. where should it go? should it just be on the bottom or sides also?

i will be using melamine if that helps anyone.

    thanks!

    Oh, I almost forgot...

Does it matter if I get 1/8" or 1/4" thickness?

    Thank You

Hi, I wouldn't put it on top of the flex....this would direct heat away from where you want it to go. Along the lines of the "E-insulation" on the ARS cages, under the flex (thereby directing more heat where you want it to go) could make sense.

I have also seen some members cover the outside of their rack with it to try and bring up ambient temps. If ambient temps are that low, however, it may work better to just by an oil filled room heater.

Well thats what I figured, "this would direct heat away from where you want it to go" but I saw a few posts saying they put it under it. thanks for the clarification on that :)

These posts seem to be a point of view error...I think everyone is saying the same thing just the orientation of the flex to tub is what changes so it makes it sound like people are doing different things when in reality everyone is doing it the same way. ;)

Must go like this (it won't work otherwise):
    Tub
    Flexwatt
    Reflectix

    Hope this helps

could someone point me to where this product is sold online. I searched google and found what i think you all are referring to at home depot. If that is the right product do you have to line the whole back side of your rack or just under the heat tape? Do you install this with foil tape?
