hey I just picked up a dorm room fridge. Can you post some pictures of your incubator. I am looking for some ideas to get me started.

From everything I have read it is highly recommended as it keeps the temps in the enclosure all at the same temp and removes any cool or hot spots!

Shouldn't be necessary for a single clutch. The fan equalizes the temperature throughout the incubator, insuring eggs at the top are at the same temp as eggs at the bottom. Place your thermostat probe next to or in the egg box for your one clutch, and you should be ok.
Oh, since heat rises, you might save a dollar or two by putting the eggs and probe near the top of the incubator. ;)

that looks like a great setup rabernet we have a wine cooler being delivered tomorrow that we are converting to an incubator. we cant get the unwired flexwatt over in the uk tho so are having to use readymade heat mats, so not sure how well it will heat it.

from what i read in ean earlier post it has to be 12 volts but maybe someone could add more info on that.

Yes, the fan and converter are 12V.
