bright purple poop!? Anyone tried this new food?
i emailed a guy who posted an ad in my city asking if he had any mice and how much he wanted for them. told me i could take as many as i wanted for free!

so i bring them home (15 or so, havent actually counted them yet) and i noticed bright purple poop in the box...wtf? when i was sexing them i noticed that a few of them were pushing out runny purple poop when i was handling them.

i assume he breeds them as he said i could take as many as i wanted because he has too many....

any ideas what it might be?

i bought some new food today called martins rat and mouse rations. it looks like cat food but larger. at $6 for 2.2lbs im willing to try it as im sick of normal rat and mouse mix where half of it gets wasted.

anyone tried it? they seem to love it...

I found that when i added colored chewing blocks to my mouse bin, their poop would turn the color of the block. They might have had something purple to eat or to chew on, i would not worry about it unless it continues to happen for a long time.
