    butter balls
i've tried surfing for this info but I cant seem to find anything on it. so I guess I will ask.. does anyone know how a butter is produced?

and if bred to a normal, what would you get? a possible 50 butters and 50 normals because its a co-dom, correct?

    thanks!

Butters and butter bels make butters. And you are correct about the 50% clutch;)

If you just look at te kingsnake classifieds you wild find a few.
    Butter is codom so 50% / 50%.
Looks a lot like lesser but most of the time more yellow and paler heads.
Butter x butter gives you a 25% BEL (blue eyed leuc.) clean white.

    a couple more questions..

    has anyone bred

    Mojaves x Butters?

    Pastels x Butters?

Would the clutchs be, 25% normals, 25% mojaves, 25% butters and hopefully a mojave/butter? (has anyone produced these?)

    And the same with pastels x butters, 25% / 25% / 25% / 25%?

I'd love to see pics if they have been produced :)

Butter x Mojave im pretty sure has not been done yet, but Butter x Lesser has and it produced a BEL im sure the Mojave will do the same

Butter x Pastel has been done and they are very nice.

    Your genetics are correct...

Any of these lines of Het Blue Eyed Leucistic when bred/crossbred together will produce a BEL:

    Lesser
    Butter
    Mojave
    Vin Russo
    Phantom
Mocha (?) is this Amir's line?

They're all slightly different, but virtually the same thing. A "Super Mojave" or more accurately put "Homozygous Mojave" is white but has a purplish head and a stripe down it's back. A Homozygous Phantom even has a whacked out pattern, but when a Phantom and a Lesser are bred together, it still makes a mostly white snake.
