Strange pattern? Or possible granite
Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
She's very pretty! Have you compared her to this guide on granites?

Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
A belly shot would help, they have mostly clear bellies. Also it looks like yours has a neck break too, which is another good indicator.
Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
I think that's a spot, not a neck break...unless a spot is considered a neck break? She's definitely got the speckling going on, and I see a couple of flames, and her head is faded...what's her belly look like?
Did you buy her as a normal? Looks like you may have lucked out.
Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
Yeah, I compaired her to the guide. She has the faded head, some nice flames, speckled pattern and a mostly clear belly with black framing, though the guide says its not nessisary to have a clear belly. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...2/S6300984.jpg
Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
Well, only one way to truly know, make some babies :gj:
Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
lol but waiting is a pain XD she's still atleast a year and a half if not 2 years away
Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
another thing is supposidly not all granites are genetic lol. I bought these two as normals, possible unknown hets. Not sure how true the 2nd part is, but she looks granite and her sister looks yellowbelly or het pied. guess I'll have to breed and see XD
Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
question... so what makes granites a morph? To me it just looks like a normal with spots... not saying its ugly or anything like that... just confused on why its considered a morph and not a normal.
Re: Strange pattern? Or possible granite
Morphs are characteristics that are passed on genetically to offspring. They do some interesting things in combos. Saying its a normal with spots is like saying yellow bellies are normals with lots of flames.
