can any one sex gerbils ??????? :(

was just wondering if there is any one still up who can sex gerbils i got a few albino gerbils to start of a small colony but have trolled through all the rodent and gerbil sites and still am non the wiser

If I am not mistaken it looks like all girls. The top picture I am not sure of but the rest are girls.

I'm sure this is the same for gerbils, but compare the butts side by side until you find one that is clearly a boy. For rats (and i'm sure its the same for gerbils) the genitalia is farther from the anus in males. Side by side the boys will have a farther distance, and soon you will be able to sex just by looking. Takes practice~ ;)

Connie is correct, you sex gerbils the same way that you sex rats and mice. Like she said, I would just compare them side to side, it is much easier to tell the difference that way! Good luck with them!
