    Striking since move
here is the deal...i recently moved into another house and have noticed a change in my male bp's behavior. since the move a week ago he has been striking at us everytime we try to go take him out, our females behavior hasnt changed but his has. what can be causing this....here are some changes that has happened with the move:

the place i moved to has alot of dogs around outside due to the business i work for out of my home, rats do come around outside to try and get into the dog food we have in metal garbage cans...

could any of those changes affect his behavior? could he be smelling the rats and think its always feeding time?

Could Be The Smell, But I Doubt It. Probably Just Stressed Out From The Move. Mine Was Really Calm, And Recently I Just "remodled" Her Cage Adding A New Hide, Drift Wood, And Plant, And He Is Real Scidish Now. Starting To Calm Back Down Though. How Long Has It Been Since The Move?

It's more than likely the change in environment. You can try to make him feel more secure by adding an additional hide or crumpling up newspaper in his cage so he doesn't feel too exposed. Give him a week or two like that then take him out during the day to handle him a few minutes at a time.

I'm sure he'll be back to his normal self in no time. :)

Do you have the snake outside? Or are the rats in the house where he can smell them?

Well I Moved Into This House Last Tuesday And His Tank Has Plenty Of Hides In It..your Lucky If You Can See Into His Little Jungle. As For Rats They Would Be Outside Rats But His Setup Is Next To A Low Window..hopefully He Calms Down Soon.

All those new smells, sounds, vibrations, everything! Yea, he does sounds like he just needs to relax. I wouldn't feed after a move like that where the animal is clearly stressed. Give him another week, and let us know if his behavior changes.
