short story she is an severly underfed '06 weighs less than my '07's

she is safely gaining weight with me and hopefully she can make up for some of that lost time and mistreatment! she is amazingly busy in her pattern and looks a bit labyrinth-ish

So what do you guys think about her? I'm hoping I can get her up to weight and see if that crazy busy pattern is genetic or just a crazy busy pattern!

Okay, I need to be educated... I can't see how she is underweight :weirdface

Shes very pretty! i love her busy "different" pattern. im not sure if there is anything under those scales in terms of genes but that would be awesome if there was, i love her marking in the fourth picture. as im sure you know only time will tell if its genetic or if there is a hidden "gene" in there. good luck with her and good job for slowly getting her health back, i dont think she looks under weight either but heh.. i know its different when your looking at them. what does she weigh?

Pretty girl, I love her pattern! On the subject of growing babies... I somewhat recently aqcuired some '06 babies from a VERY respected breeder, and they were the size of my '07 yellow belly, and very much smaller than the rest of my '06's. Some people just use different feeding schedules or different prey items (remember Jimi's post about his boas?)... this doesn't mean that they are underfed. Also, some snakes grow at different rates no matter what you feed them or how often. I have no idea what the background was on this specific animal, just sharing some experiences with other snakes I have kept or seen.

the guy i got her from said he underfed her to experiment with growth etc for some college project... same douche never cleaned the cages and had a burm with a blood in the same cage! my biggest female 07 is 630g this one is 470g. with about 8+ months of life over my biggest 07. mind you i have had her for 5 months and she was prolly close to 250g when i rescued her from afformentioned douche. I can tell she is older by her eyeball... is much larger than my 07's.
