Killing mites with low temps?
I think some of my snakes have mites. :(
I'm cleaning their tanks more frequently and bathing the animals in a solution from the vet. But can the mites be eradicated by putting a tank in a low temperature? It's about 37 F outside, can I assume that mite eggs or mites themselves won't survive out there if I take a tank outside for a day or two?

I would recommend you simply treat with the proven method of erradicating mites with Provent-A-Mite

Like Rab said, get something that you know will work. With mites its definitely worth knowing that your treatment will work.
Re: Killing mites with low temps?
They don't sell Provent-A-Mite here, only those pet store no-good mite solutions. :weirdface
Re: Killing mites with low temps?
Can you get some spray on Frontline from a vet?
Re: Killing mites with low temps?
You can't order it online?
Re: Killing mites with low temps?
Haven't seen anything named Frontline here, but they may sell something with another name. :/
Does anyone know of a webstore that would ship overseas? There may be some customs issues though, usually it's a bit difficult to order solutions from the US.
