Pandora the Pastel (and Fianna too!)
Well since I had Danu out for some pictures for her thread, I figured it had been awhile since I'd done any of Pandora the Lemon Pastel.

Pandora's a female 07, produced by BPNet member Becky (SatanicIntention), out of her stunning Lemon Pastel male, Orth. We just love this little snake! She eats like clockwork every week, handles like a dream and is such a joy to have in the collection. We've got some big plans for this little lady when the time is right.

For contrast with a normal female, these next pictures are of Pandora with Fianna, another 07 female whose likely a few months older than she is. We purchased Fianna, whose a captive hatched, from another BPNet member Andrew (AndrewH). Fianna's always been a fierce feeder. You don't mess about with little Fi on feeding night LOL. Another joy to own (okay they are all my joys, I'm such a snake dweeb!)

    Love her blushing!
I think your pic is a bit over exposed, or else she would look even nicer.

LOL Believe me I sooooooo need a class on how to take proper snake pictures and a much better camera!

Pandora is a sort of really light looking pastel with an almost greyish color to her blushing. Very hard to describe but she's not bright yellow like some, or orangey like others. She almost like some Blonde Pastels I've seen. Putting Fianna in the photo beside Pandora was my attempt to show the contrast in her to a normal the same age.

We're really looking forward to seeing what her mature look will be. :)

Laura, as far as I know, Becky has Pandora's parents busy again together this year. :)

Okay on Robin's suggestion I just hauled Pandora out again for more pics on a white background. Robin suggested I try white posterboard, dull side up and after a bit of digging I found a piece of it in Mikey's room. I tried also photographing her in my kitchen where I get a lot more natural light than the snake room where the previous pictures were taken. So here's my next poor effort to get a decent shot of this snake.

Pandora shed about 1 week ago. She pretty much looks every day like she just shed though. No big change there visually from "omg post-shed shiny" to "normal". Pandora just looks like Pandora other than when she's actively in shed.

I tried to explain to Robin on the phone just now that Pandora's yellow looks like you'd taken a bright yellow shirt and washed it too often at the wrong temperature (if that makes any sense at all to some of you LOL). I wish I had a lot more hands on experience with various Pastels so I could describe this better.

Once we have warm weather I'm determined to slip outside with her and get some shots under full natural light and see how those go. Anyone ever have a snake they could just NOT get a proper picture of?
