I love watching his yellow come in more and more as he grows. Probably my favorite snake (shhh, don't tell the others! :D)

Hey guys i know this is a different kind of thread, but i figured the readers are knowledgeable about the housing of JCPs. Is a 100 gallon (47 inch long, 19 inch high) good for a 6.5 foot male JCP? I want to give him the best home possible, and this is one of the few cages available to me. He is content now in a 40 gallon, not happy, but content. Whats the ideal cage for him?

Jason, why don't you go ahead and post a new thread to get some good answers. Sounds like it might be OK. How deep is it?
From a thread (http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ight=tank+size) I posted awhile ago, MPenn said:
"If you are really wanting to build one, I would choose 4' x 28-30" x 1.5-2'. It never hurts to have a bit more height and you don't want to be reaching really far back in a 2' deep cage (depending on where you house it)."
Good luck,
Melissa
