Sticky this, because no one, anywhere on earth has a picture of one.

VPI does, as well as a description of what they look like. They look just like....well....mites. In your water bowl, if there are black things that look like pepper or poppy seeds, that's mites.

Oh great. I've been told by several it's a tick. Now I have no idea what to believe. I only found 1 of them.

His ball python is also about <250g. To me it looks like a mite, but take it for what its worth.

Regardless of what it is, PAM should take care of it and thats what matters:)
